Batuli B.K. arrived at our hostel facility in 2019 at the age of seven with a recommendation from the local government. She comes from DALIT caste, a so-called lower caste in Nepal. Batuli's mom died of pregnancy complication when Batuli was five months old. Her father is now 44 years old and has to take care of 4 other children. Because of extreme poverty, the family struggles to meet their basic needs. Batuli is happy to be at our hostel facility.
