Bela, arrived at our hostel facility in early 2023 when she was five years old. Her dad who was the only bread earner in the family died of blood cancer. The year before her dad passed away, Bela’s house was washed away by a landslide and flood during the monsoon rains. Bela’s mom and grandfather were struggling to feed the family and take care of the children’s education. Bela is now happy to be at our hostel facility.
